… designed to help you grow your business online!

Search engines run the internet.

Without them, we would have no way of finding any of the things we want or need online.

And if you have a website or online business, you are using and relying on them every single day - whether consciously or not.

Whether it’s Google (and other search engines), Pinterest, YouTube, marketplaces, or your website’s own search function, search is at the heart of helping potential customers find your products and services.

You can either do search marketing badly (which is what happens if you ignore it), or you can do it well. Either way, it’s part of your business - it’s just part of how the internet works.

What is SEO and why should you care?

I love an analogy, and there are two favourites that typically help people get really excited about the why of SEO - because when you know the why, consistent action becomes a whole lot easier! I hinted at these earlier, but here’s a more detailed explanation…

1. SEO is housekeeping for the digital high street

A.k.a. vital chores for your online store

Imagine having a physical shop or office space where you welcomed customers and clients.

You'd have to think about rental contracts, utilities and tax, as well as interior design and visual merchandising, not forgetting window cleaning, vacuuming, emptying bins, and changing lightbulbs.

SEO is the digital equivalent of these things: Making sure your online presence is clean and tidy, and welcoming to visitors.

2. SEO is like putting your books in a virtual library

And if they’re not clearly labelled, the librarian’s gonna ignore them

Now, imagine that you've got a big box of books to donate to your local library. But plot twist: all the covers are brown paper.

The librarian has no idea what they are or where to put them, so she puts the box in a back room for when she has time to come back and look properly.

If we ignore SEO, it's like giving Google a box of brown paper books.

What’s the process for a Done for You SEO Package?

My Done for You SEO packages are now done in an intensive format - which means that you’ll choose your preferred date, and that week, I will be working on your brand’s website.

After our week intensive, we’ll have a 30 day, 60 day, and 90 day check in so I can check your metrics, answer any questions, and help advise on any ongoing content optimisations as you focus on growing your brand online.

These will be 30-minute Zoom calls, and I’ll check your website analytics & prepare recommendations ahead of each of them.

🧐

Getting Started…

To get started, you can either book a discovery call with me, or you can jump straight in and book your SEO week from my available dates.

After booking, you’ll get a questionnaire & some preparatory tasks (like giving me access to certain things) which will need to be completed by you before our week begins.

🔍

Day 1: Kick Off & Brand Audit

When the first day of our SEO week rolls round, I’ll get stuck into all of the preparatory information you’ve provided.

We’ll have a 30-minute kick-off call on the first day (you can book it in at a time that works for you) and I’ll spend the day doing a full audit of your brand’s online presence.

📝

Day 2: Keywords & Recommendations

On day two of our SEO week, I’ll be spending the day doing keyword research and customer journey mapping.

This includes competitor analysis, content analysis, and looking at your brand’s positioning and priorities to create a keyword strategy that supports your goals as you grow online.

👩🏼‍💻

Day 3: Recommendations & Optimisations

Pulling from my website audit & structural analysis, customer journey mapping, competitor analysis, and content analysis, I'll finalise my list of recommended optimisations.

We’ll have a 45-minute Zoom call to discuss my recommendations and make sure you’re happy moving forward, and then I’ll spend the second part of the day drafting any SEO copywriting using the keywords we’ve agreed on.

🛠

Day 4: Technical & On Page Optimisation

On day four, I’ll spend the morning working on your technical SEO. This includes ensuring any non-developmental errors in your Google Search Console account are resolved.

In the afternoon, I’ll get started on your on page optimisations - including optimised HTML tags, image alt text, and SEO titles and descriptions.

Day 5: Your Final Deliverables

On the final day of our project, I’ll finish your on page optimisations in the morning, and then draft your final deliverables. You will receive including any reports, research, and documentation completed during the project, and additionally any templates, tutorials, and action plans that will help you generate search engine visibility from your other marketing channels and build your brand online.

We’ll wrap up the day with a 30-minute Zoom call to go through all of this and make sure you’re confident moving forward with your website!

Some of the finer details…

How long does a Done for You SEO project take to complete?

I now offer my Done for You SEO package as a week intensive, so you can book in based on my availability and then during that week, I’ll be working on your website each day.

Please check the enquiry form for my current availability, or get in touch if you have any questions.

How much is a Done for You SEO project?

Once you submit an enquiry form, I’ll check out your website and provide you with a proposal - your proposal is based on the size of your website and which platform your website is built on.

A typical Done for You SEO Intensive is $3000. This includes customer journey mapping, a keyword strategy, and a content plan as well as website optimisations and updates.

Frequently Asked Questions

What website platforms do you work with?

The primary platforms I work with are Shopify, Wordpress, and Squarespace. I occasionally do projects on Wix, but usually with a heavier focus on creating content that will migrate to a new platform as you grow because of the limitations of Wix for scaling brands.

I’ve also worked on custom platforms, and platforms like Magento and Craft CMS.

How long will my project take?

I now offer my Done for You SEO package as a week intensive, so you can book in based on my availability and then during that week, I’ll be working on your website each day.

Please check the enquiry form for my current availability, or get in touch if you have any questions.

Is copywriting included in an SEO project?

Copywriting is the wording on your web pages, and is not included in a Done for You SEO package beyond the keyword optimisations and SEO titles and descriptions that are outlined in your proposal. If you would like to add copywriting to your project, I do provide a “Website Content in a Day” package that provides over 7 hours of dedicated writing time, but this is charged additionally to your SEO project.

How do I talk to you during the project?

The majority of our communication will be done via email, your client portal, and occasional Zoom meetings to walk through progress and deliverables. After your final deliverables have been sent to you, we’ll touch base around day 30, day 60, and day 90 to check progress.

What if we’re in different timezones?

I work with clients all around the world, including in many different timezones and currencies. The majority of my work in the last 8 years has been with businesses and entrepreneurs in North America and continental Europe - so different timezones are not a problem.

Do you offer retainer-based SEO packages?

No, I don’t offer retainers. This is because I believe that SEO retainers are a really expensive and inefficient way for business owners to have their website’s optimised, and are designed to benefit the marketing agencies without being results-driven for the business owner. In some instances, SEO retainers might make sense due to the size of the business or the skill of the agency, but rarely do they provide a good return on investment for small and creative businesses in particular.
